आपल्या आणि मुलांच्या आजूबाजूला अनेक संख्या असतात, मुलं ह्या संख्या बघत आणि अनुभवत असतात. त्यांनी बघितलेल्या किंवा अनुभवलेल्या संख्यांच्या गोष्टी मुलांना बनवायला सांगा. व्यवहारात घडणाऱ्या गोष्टींमधील संख्याकडे जाणीवपूर्वक पाहणे आणि संख्या ऐकली की त्याची गोष्ट सुचणे हे दुहेरी गणितीकरण आहे. अगदी सुरुवाती पासून जर ह्याची सवय असेल तर मुलं पुढे मोठ्या वर्गांमध्ये येणाऱ्या शाब्दिक गणितांना न घाबरता सोडवू शकतात.

There are many numbers around us and children, children see and experience these numbers. Ask children to make stories of the numbers they see or experience. Observing numbers in day to day life and creating real life stories of any number is a two way mathematization skill. If children are used to this from the very beginning, they can solve the word problems that come later in higher classes without fear.
