संख्यांचा संख्यापणा म्हणजे त्यात ‘किती’ आहेत हे समजणं. मुलांनी स्वतः कृती करत ‘संख्यापणा’ आत्मसात करणं महत्वाचंआहे. मुलांना परिचित असलेल्या रुपांमध्ये संख्या शिकवल्या की मुलं चटकन संख्यापणा समजून घेतात.

उदाहरणार्थ : ४ ही संख्या वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारे कशी तयार करता येईल? किंवा कोणकोणत्या भाषांमध्ये ती दाखवता येईल? वस्तूंची-भाषा बोटांची-भाषा रुपयांची-भाषा कृतींची-भाषा आवाजांची-भाषा चित्रांची-भाषा ह्यापैकी कोणतीही भाषा वापरताना मुलांचा अनुभव लक्षात घेणं महत्वाचं आहे.

प्रत्येक मूल वेगळं असतं.  त्यामुळे त्याची गरजही वेगळी असते, ज्या मुलाला ऐकू येत नाही, असं मूल वस्तूंच्या, चित्रांच्या भाषेतून सहज शिकेल. ज्या मुलाला दिसत नाही असं मूल वस्तूंच्या आणि आवाजांच्या भाषेतून शिकेल. या सर्व भाषांमध्ये मुलांना संख्या तयार करता येऊ लागली, की एका रुपातील संख्या पाहून इतर सर्व रुपांमध्ये ती देण्याचा खेळ खेळायचा आहे.

After children are comfortable with making numbers in all these languages ​​we can play the game of representing a number given in one language into all other languages.
