क्रमाने संख्या आधी तयार करणे आणि मग लिहिणे, अशी सवय मुलांना लागणे गरजेचे आहे. संख्या कश्या लिहायच्या हे शिकवताना ती संख्या वेगवेगळ्या भाषांमध्ये तयार करायला सांगितले तर मुलांना संख्यापणा म्हणजे काय हे समजण्यास मदत होते. हे समजल्यानंतर लिहिलेली संख्या ओळखायला मुलांना सोप्पे जाते. १ ते ५ संख्या अश्या प्रकारे शिकवून झाल्यावर मुलांची ह्या पाच संख्याची तयारी आधी करून घेणे महत्वाचे आहे. ह्यामध्ये एका रूपातून दुसऱ्या रूपात संख्या तयार करणे हे गरजेचे आहे. ५ वस्तू समोर ठेवून त्यामधून एक-एक गोष्ट काढून टाकली तर शेवटी काहीच उरत नाही म्हणजेच ० वस्तू आहेत अश्या प्रकारे ० ची संकल्पना मुलांना शिकवायची आहे.
